Meet the Moment

Most of the time we think about the past or worry about the future.

However, it's not a secret that life happens in the present. And it is truly a present. A gift we so often don't cherish. We wait for it to come, we remember when it passes, but we forget to enjoy it, miss it when it is present for us.

We can't change the past. No matter how hard we try - we can't. Instead of asking "Why has it happened to me?", "Why I am where I am now?", "What could have been done differently?", "What else could have happened?", we can ask ourselves "What I can do now that would be fulfilling and meaningful and would feel right?", "What opportunities are around me now?", "What can fulfill me now?", "What is important for me now?".

The word "now" is crucial in every question as it is so tempting to sacrifice the present for the future. We all know a lot of tricks on how to do that. "It's ok, I can do something better for myself tomorrow...", "Next time I will prioritize differently...", "I have to endure because...", "I do it for the future..."

We worry about the future trying hard to plan for it and predict it. The truth is... We can't. And if 2020 is meant to teach us anything - that is it. We can't control the future. We have no slightest idea of what it is going to be.

Stop. Look around. Breath.

Allow yourself to be.

Cherish the gift of being present.

Enjoy.
